We are working with an established and growing organisation that is looking for a Communications and Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager across a varied range of marketing and communications activities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and creative, with the chance to work across event marketing, content creation, social media, email campaigns, branding and digital platforms.
The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel across Kent for team meetings and events.
The Role Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will support the planning, creation and delivery of marketing communications, ensuring all content is engaging, professional and consistent with the organisation's brand and messaging.
You will play an important role in supporting the marketing activity surrounding key conferences and events, as well as helping to create engaging content across digital and print channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting marketing activities for key conferences and events
- Creating printed and digital marketing materials and venue branding
- Developing communication schedules and coordinating marketing activity
- Creating engaging marketing assets, including graphics, presentations and promotional materials
- Writing and coordinating content for social media, blogs and other digital channels
- Creating video content for use across social media and email campaigns
- Planning, creating and managing email marketing campaigns from start to finish
- Coordinating email content, including copy, templates, imagery, logos and graphics
- Working with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver campaigns and marketing materials
- Reviewing campaign performance and adapting content to improve engagement
- Supporting website and social media updates
- Ensuring all marketing materials follow brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone of voice
- Monitoring competitor websites and wider marketing activity to identify new ideas and inspiration About You We are looking for someone who is creative, organised and confident managing multiple marketing tasks and deadlines.
You will ideally have
- Previous experience in a marketing, communications or similar role
- Experience creating content for digital marketing channels
- Strong written communication skills, with experience writing social media content and/or blogs
- Experience creating marketing materials and graphics
- Experience with email marketing and campaign coordination
- An understanding of branding and maintaining consistent brand guidelines
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
- A creative and proactive approach, with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team Experience within event marketing, conference marketing or a membership-based organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.
