Electromechanical Assembly Engineer

Location: Aylesford Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum DOE Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

About the Role

Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business delivering advanced power, monitoring and control solutions across a range of specialist industries.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Electromechanical Assembly Engineer to join their skilled Assembly team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a practical engineering background who enjoys hands-on assembly work and takes pride in building high-quality products from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electromechanical components and systems from engineering drawings, schematics and BOMs.
  • Install contactors, MCBs, RCBOs, sensors, wiring harnesses and PCBs.
  • Carry out wiring, cable routing and soldering work to a high standard.
  • Ensure correct insulation, earthing and compliance with electrical safety requirements.
  • Complete mechanical fastening and electrical assembly tasks accurately.
  • Maintain quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Eplan and Auto CAD documentation.
  • Experience using hand tools, crimpers and soldering equipment.
  • Strong wiring, crimping and soldering skills.
  • Reliable, proactive and safety-conscious approach.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in electromechanical assembly, electrical manufacturing, lift engineering or similar environments would be advantageous.
