Join our client as a Transport Planner (Maternity Cover)! Monday–Friday, 8 am–5:30 pm. Competitive salary circa £33,000 DOE. Support a busy transport team, plan loads, manage admin, and keep operations running smoothly. Great opportunity to gain experience and make an impact!

Salary: Circa £33,000 per annum DOE (pro rata)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm (1-hour break)

Temp: Maternity Cover

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Transport Manager and team in daily operations
  • Plan and arrange loads to customers and collections
  • Handle transport administration tasks and reporting
  • Supervise drivers and advise customers on deliveries
  • Generate PODs and ensure paperwork accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with legal and FORS requirements
  • Assist with vehicle servicing and defect rectification
  • Work with managers to maintain quality procedures
  • Ensure Health & Safety, COSHH, and environmental standards
  • Follow IT/business system guidelines for data integrity
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as requested by management
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in transport planning or logistics
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience as an HGV Planner or transport operator
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
