The Opportunity
Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist manufacturing business seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations and support the continued success of the site.
This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for driving operational performance, improving efficiencies and developing a culture focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality and delivery targets.
- Manage, coach and develop production teams.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and improve KPIs, including productivity, quality, OEE and cost performance.
- Manage operational budgets and resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce downtime.
About You
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Significant manufacturing management experience within a fast-paced production environment.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs and operational performance.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Desirable
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
