The Role

Working as part of a busy support function, you will provide high-quality service to freight customers while ensuring data accuracy, compliance standards and smooth operational processes. You will support account onboarding, customer administration, complaint resolution, and commercial activities, helping deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Support customer onboarding and account management
  • Maintain accurate customer and operational records
  • Process bookings, vehicle lists and customs information
  • Manage customer system access and data maintenance
  • Produce customer communications and email campaigns
  • Quote freight rates and process payments
  • Investigate invoice and booking-related queries
  • Raise purchase orders and support reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and refer leads
  • Support system testing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with rate management, audits and compliance activities
  • Support data requests and operational investigations

Requirements

  • 2 years customer service and telephone handling experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in working a fast-paced office role
  • Data management experience – must be able to manage accurate data entry across multiple systems to ensure compliance and prevent errors
  • Proven ability to resolve issues and work collaboratively with different departments
  • Adaptable and proactive in handling diverse tasks
  • Understanding of GDPR and ability to handle data requests
  • Excellent IT skills with experience using Salesforce/Dynamics/Coda desirable
  • Freight sector knowledge/European language desirable
