Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm (43.75 hours per week) An expanding engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Setter Programmer to join its production team on a permanent basis.
This is a hands-on workshop role suited to a candidate who enjoys both CNC programming and practical machining work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in operating and programming CNC machinery while supporting wider workshop activities when required.
Unlike traditional precision engineering environments focused entirely on milling or turning, this role involves using CNC equipment primarily for drilling and processing fabricated steel components.
As a result, the position would suit a practical, adaptable machinist who is comfortable working across multiple areas of production.
NOTE: Due to location, candidates must have access to own transport.
Paid trial is part of interviewing process.
The Role
- Programming and setting CNC machinery
- Producing drilled components and fabricated parts
- Operating CNC drilling equipment
- Running associated workshop machinery including saws and punches
- Adjusting programs and machine settings as required
- Supporting process improvements
- Assisting with training and development of future operators
