Administration Assistant
Location: Sandwich
Salary: £14.00 – £14.50 per hour
Hours: 60–74 hours per fortnight
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Working Pattern: 9-day fortnight – every other Friday off
Morgan Jones is currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join the HR team of an established business based in Sandwich.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop their career within an HR environment. Working closely with the HR Manager, you’ll provide day-to-day administrative support across a varied range of tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records and general HR administration.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and comfortable working with confidential information.
The Role
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HR team
- Creating and maintaining accurate employee personnel files
- Managing confidential employee information in line with GDPR requirements
- Preparing HR documents, spreadsheets and reports
- Maintaining employee training records and supporting training allocation
- Coordinating interviews, internal visits and visitors
- Preparing recruitment documentation and new starter induction packs
- Supporting the onboarding process, including collecting required documentation and employment references
- Sending new starter forms and arranging ID badges
- Managing and monitoring the recruitment mailbox
- Updating organisational charts and staff notice boards
- Maintaining accurate employee information on internal HR systems
- Assisting with clock card discrepancies and pre-payroll reports
- Supporting staff social and employee engagement activities
- Scanning, filing and maintaining accurate records
- Taking confidential notes and meeting minutes when required
- Providing general administrative support to other areas of the business as required
About You
We're looking for an organised and reliable administrator who is confident managing multiple tasks and can work professionally with confidential information.
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an office administration role
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretion
- Confident working independently and using your own initiative
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Positive, flexible and proactive approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- Administration qualification at Level 2 or above
- Previous experience within an HR or personnel administration environment
