The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Assistant to support a busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established international organisation offering valuable experience, hybrid working, and potential long-term career progression.
You’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts across European ledgers.
- Communicate with internal and external customers via telephone and email.
- Follow established collection processes and procedures.
- Prepare reports on account status and collection activity.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to resolve queries.
- Support continuous improvement projects within accounts receivable.
- Assist with general administration duties.
- Provide cover and support across the wider team when required.
What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years' experience in accounts receivable, finance administration, credit control, or a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Confident telephone and email communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent), or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
- French language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
