We are currently recruiting for a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker to join a specialist substance misuse service in Worthing on a 3-month temporary assignment.
You'll support adults involved in the criminal justice system with substance misuse needs, helping them work towards recovery, reduce harm and reduce reoffending.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of criminal justice service users.
- Complete assessments and individual recovery plans.
- Deliver substance misuse, harm reduction and recovery interventions.
- Support individuals subject to DRRs, licence conditions and out-of-court disposals.
- Carry out assertive outreach to engage harder-to-reach service users.
- Work closely with Probation, HMP services and other partner agencies.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and complete professional reports and case notes.
- Support wider needs including housing, employment, health and social wellbeing.
About You
- Direct substance misuse / recovery experience.
- Experience working with criminal justice clients.
- Caseload management and assessment experience.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Experience with Probation, Courts, Police or HMP services is desirable.
