VOIDS SURVEYOR
Location: North West London
Rate: £360 per day
Contract: Ongoing
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Voids Surveyor to join a North West London Council on an ongoing contract.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in social housing or local authority property maintenance, with a focus on void inspections, specifying repair works and ensuring properties meet fire safety and compliance standards before being re-let.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct void property inspections and condition surveys.
- Prepare schedules of works and specifications for repairs and refurbishment.
- Ensure properties meet fire safety, health and safety and statutory compliance requirements.
- Monitor contractors, workmanship, costs, quality and timescales.
- Identify defects and ensure properties are safe and ready for re-letting.
- Liaise with housing teams, contractors and stakeholders to minimise void turnaround times.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience as a Voids Surveyor within social housing or a local authority.
- Strong knowledge of voids repairs, maintenance and property inspections.
- Good understanding of fire safety and housing compliance.
- Experience managing contractors and monitoring works through to completion.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
