We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected nationwide charity seeking an experienced Technical Architect. This is a pivotal role supporting the organisation's digital transformation and operational optimisation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and hands-on technical expertise to design and deliver scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions aligned with broader organisational goals.
Main Architecture Requirements:
- CRM Systems - Experience in Salesforce desirable but other CRMs welcome.
- Infrastructure - Azure environments.
Role Purpose:
The Technical Architect will lead the development of innovative, future-proof technology architectures that support the charity's objectives. This includes collaborating across business, data, application, and technology domains to deliver robust and effective solutions. This is a hands-on role requiring active involvement in design, planning, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align IT architecture solutions with the overall strategic goals of the organisation.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, stakeholders, and suppliers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Produce and communicate high-level and low-level architecture deliverables.
- Support project planning and resource allocation within agile delivery frameworks.
- Review technical architecture for ongoing improvement opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks.
- Contribute to the development of architecture standards, policies, and frameworks.
- Participate in governance activities to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
- Promote architectural best practices and the reuse of solution components.
- Monitor emerging technologies and market trends to provide strategic recommendations.
- Perform any other duties as required in line with the scope of the role.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Technical or Solutions Architect with a strong background across data, application, and technology domains.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and communicate high-quality technical solution designs.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce architecture, particularly Sales Cloud.
- Solid understanding of architectural best practices in SaaS-based IT environments.
- Familiarity with API and file-based data integration methods.
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks (especially Scrum) and with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative team player with strong consensus-building capabilities.
- Sound business acumen and the ability to align technical solutions with organisational goals.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Desirable:
- Salesforce certifications (e.g. Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architect).
- Technical experience with Salesforce NPSP, Data Hub, Knowledge Base, Agentforce, and Experience Cloud.
- Experience with Informatica IICS and Snowflake platforms.
- Familiarity with ERP solutions such as Iris Cascade and Unit4 ERPx.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Prior experience working in the not-for-profit sector.
This is a 23-month FTC, paying Β£60,000 per annum. Flexible Hybrid working of a minimum of 2 days per month in the London office. Benefits - 26 days holiday rising annually, Perkbox, Life Assurance, Pension from 9% to 16%, BUPA Dental.
