Sports Lecturer
Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education provider to recruit an experienced Sports Lecturer for a temporary opportunity in London.
- Pay: £37 per hour

- Hours: 2.5 days per week
- Location: N14 6BS
- Start Date: Immediately
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sports Lecturer to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and support learners studying sports-related qualifications. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for sport and the ability to deliver both theoretical and practical sessions that help learners develop their skills and progress in the sports industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across sports-related courses and qualifications.
- Deliver practical and theoretical sessions in line with curriculum requirements.
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of learning and appropriate teaching resources.
- Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and support learners in achieving their qualifications.
- Maintain accurate learner records and monitor attendance, progress and achievement.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and development.
- Support learners with their progression into further education, employment or careers within the sports industry.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and relevant college policies and procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience teaching or delivering sports-related subjects within an educational or training environment.
- Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the sports and fitness industry.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging practical and classroom-based sessions.
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- Experience assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- A commitment to learner development, achievement and progression.
- A relevant sports-related qualification and teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards the required qualifications, where applicable.
