As an Independent Living Officer, you'll play a vital role in delivering a person-centered service, supporting tenants in Independent Living accommodation. Responsibilities of the Sheltered Scheme Manager include:
- Visiting residents across various schemes, with 30-40 visits per week
- Providing housing-related support that promotes independence and wellbeing
- Engaging with residents to create tailored support plans and offer reassurance
- Acting as a key point of contact for residents while escalating complex matters through the appropriate channels
- Collaborating with a team of Independent Living Officers, led by experienced team leaders
Candidates for the role of Sheltered Scheme Manager will need:
- Experience in social housing and supporting vulnerable tenants
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse clien
- A proactive and compassionate approach to problem-solving
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between schemes.s
