Job Description

Morgan Hunt is working with a respected M&E Consultancy to appoint an experienced Building Services Project Engineer ( Commissioning Manager )

The role requires a qualified mechanical or electrical engineer with extensive experience in the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installations across diverse construction projects. The position calls for strong technical capability, proven leadership, and the ability to oversee complex building services schemes.

Main Duties

  • Review MEP construction packages for compliance and commissioning, producing detailed reports and presenting findings to design teams.
  • Provide technical direction and site support across a range of live projects.
  • Prepare accurate M&E specifications in line with client requirements.
  • Lead elements of project delivery, ensuring effective implementation and completion.
  • Represent the consultancy at meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants, upholding professional standards.
  • Chair meetings where required, producing and issuing minutes in a timely manner.
  • Manage allocated deliverables within agreed budgets, maintaining quality and cost control.
  • Produce concise, high-quality reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

  • Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • At least ten years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong background in building services M&E installations.
  • Proficient in IT applications including AutoCAD and familiar with Common Data Environment (CDE) systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and design teams.
  • Evidence of continued professional development through CPD activities and engagement with technical literature.
