Key Responsibilities:
- Partnered with senior leadership to develop and maintain multi-year procurement pipelines, aligning commercial activity with organisational priorities, budgets, and strategic objectives.
- Delivered expert procurement and commercial advice, ensuring compliance with UK public sector procurement regulations, governance requirements, and value-for-money principles across complex procurements.
- Managed end-to-end procurement activity, including tendering, contract awards, spend forecasting, contract registers, and commercial reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Led contract governance and supplier performance management, facilitating governance meetings, monitoring contract delivery, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement.
- Supported the implementation and enhancement of commercial systems, supplier relationship management, and contract management frameworks to strengthen procurement capability and compliance.
- Influenced and collaborated with senior stakeholders, finance, risk, and business planning teams to deliver integrated commercial solutions and embed consistent procurement best practice across the organisation.
- Conducted commercial and financial analysis to identify procurement risks, improve efficiency, and deliver value-for-money outcomes while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Provided leadership, coaching, and procurement guidance to colleagues and business stakeholders, promoting commercial awareness, contract management best practice, and continuous professional development.
Experience:
- Extensive public sector procurement experience, independently leading end-to-end tendering exercises and applying Government Commercial standards, procurement best practice, and professional services procurement expertise.
- Strong commercial capability, working autonomously to deliver procurement outcomes while collaborating effectively with stakeholders to develop innovative, value-for-money solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Proven experience in contract and supplier relationship management, providing expert guidance to business stakeholders and supporting effective contract governance throughout the contract lifecycle.
- CIPS Level 4 qualified (or working towards full membership) with over six years' experience delivering complex procurement activities independently in a regulated public sector environment.
