Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education college in London to recruit an experienced and motivated English Lecturer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Lecturer to join a supportive FE environment and make a positive impact on learners achievement and progression.

Salary: Up to £40 per hour
Contract: Temporary / Ongoing
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Full-time & Part-time opportunities available
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to FE learners.
- Plan and prepare effective lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
- Teach English across relevant levels and programmes.
- Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement.
- Develop engaging teaching and learning resources.
- Support learners with different abilities and learning needs.
- Maintain accurate assessment and learner records.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support positive learner outcomes.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Follow all safeguarding, equality, health and safety policies and procedures.
About You
We're looking for an English Lecturer who has:
- Recent experience teaching English within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in English.
- Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.
- A relevant English-related degree or qualification.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience assessing learner work and supporting learner progression.
- A genuine passion for education and helping learners achieve their potential.
