About the Role

Morgan Hunt are delighted to be partnering with a public sector organisation as they are keen to welcome a new Procurement Officer on a full time and permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with budget holders on procurement planning, market engagement, and supplier performance management
  • Assisting in the delivery of compliant tendering processes and effective contract management
  • Championing procurement best practices in line with Scottish public sector regulations
  • Managing the Contract Register and supporting informed decisions throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Contributing to governance processes, GDPR and FOI compliance, and both internal and external communications
  • Supporting core corporate services, including performance reporting and staff/customer communications

Skills and Experience

  • Solid understanding of procurement regulations, particularly within the Scottish public sector
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Proven experience supporting procurement and corporate functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, compliance, and achieving value for money
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
