About the Role
Morgan Hunt are delighted to be partnering with a public sector organisation as they are keen to welcome a new Procurement Officer on a full time and permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with budget holders on procurement planning, market engagement, and supplier performance management
- Assisting in the delivery of compliant tendering processes and effective contract management
- Championing procurement best practices in line with Scottish public sector regulations
- Managing the Contract Register and supporting informed decisions throughout the contract lifecycle
- Contributing to governance processes, GDPR and FOI compliance, and both internal and external communications
- Supporting core corporate services, including performance reporting and staff/customer communications
Skills and Experience
- Solid understanding of procurement regulations, particularly within the Scottish public sector
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Proven experience supporting procurement and corporate functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, compliance, and achieving value for money
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
