Morgan Hunt is proud to be partnering with a UK Government organisation to recruit a Project Management Office (PMO) professional with proven experience in Price Controls. This is a key role within a high-profile project, where you will play a critical part in delivering Draft Determinations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in coordinating teams and managing complex programmes within regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement and embed robust project management processes and standards, with a focus on planning, risk management, and governance.
- Work collaboratively with team managers to maintain up-to-date delivery plans, highlighting milestones, decision points and interdependencies.
- Maintain a central resourcing plan to provide a clear overview of resource allocation across all projects.
- Implement and monitor effective risk management and assurance processes, ensuring regular reviews feed into central risk governance.
- Ensure teams maintain comprehensive audit trails for all decisions relating to Price Controls.
- Produce timely and accurate reports for the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), senior stakeholders and the wider portfolio team.
- Coordinate the preparation of reports and advice to governance boards, including GEMA, regarding project delivery and key decisions.
- Liaise with the central communications and stakeholder engagement team to support external engagement.
- Lead on change control and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in the broader Project Management and Delivery professional community to share best practice and develop capability.
- Line manage one team member, with the potential to manage additional resources in future.
- Demonstrable experience leading workstreams within major, complex programmes.
- Proficiency in a range of project delivery methodologies and tools.
- Strong planning and scheduling experience on large-scale projects.
- Solid understanding of risk management frameworks.
- Proven ability to develop and manage governance in complex environments.
- Track record of building strong, collaborative relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in setting price controls within the utilities or regulatory sector.
