About the Role:

  • Location: A college in Lewisham
  • Start Date: 1st August 2025
  • Contract Type: Ongoing temporary with potential to become permanent
  • Working Hours: Full-time, including two evening teaching sessions per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical plumbing lessons to students.
  • Support learners in developing industry-standard skills and achieving their qualifications.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback in line with awarding body standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve the curriculum and student experience.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent) OR an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification.
  • Industry experience in plumbing.
  • Previous teaching or training experience in further education or workplace settings is desirable but not essential.
