Morgan Hunt are delighted to support a public sector organisation as they look to welcome a Category Manager on a full time and permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivered compliant end-to-end procurement processes across multiple public sector categories, ensuring adherence to the Procurement Act 2023 and PSR Regulations 2023.
  • Managed the reintegration of contracts into the organisations procurement framework.
  • Supported preparation activities, contributing to strategic transformation and governance alignment.
  • Lead and managed procurements and contracts valued up to £500k, achieving value for money, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Developed category expertise and supported implementation of category strategies aligned with organisational priorities, risk management, and service delivery goals.
  • Collaborated with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic and tactical procurement projects.
  • Provided procurement guidance, governance support, and stakeholder training while maintaining strong analytical, IT, and presentation skills.

Personal Specifications:

  • Public Sector experience required (Healthcare/Socialcare experience preferred)
  • CIPS Qualified ideally
  • Experience at operating at this level
