Floating Support Worker Oldham Temporary £16 - £17 per hour
Our Client Morgan Hunt is collaborating with various charities and housing providers seeking experienced housing support professionals for temporary contracts. This role is vital in providing essential support to individuals facing challenges, ensuring they maintain their tenancies and improve their overall well-being.
The Role - Floating Support Worker
- Work with individuals to create personalised support plans addressing specific needs and goals.
- Encourage and assist clients in developing life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and managing their tenancy.
- Help clients maintain their tenancy by providing advice on rent payments and understanding tenancy agreements.
- Offer emotional support to clients facing challenges such as mental health issues, addiction, or social isolation.
- Assist clients in accessing local services, including healthcare, education, employment, and benefits.
- Respond to emergencies or crises, providing immediate support and ensuring client safety.
- Identify and report any safeguarding concerns in line with organisational policies.
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure clients receive comprehensive support.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure client's living environments are safe and meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and support provided.
- Advocate for clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
The Candidate
- Previous experience within community based settings.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals, such as those experiencing homelessness, severe and enduring mental health and addiction.
- Proven ability to provide practical and emotional support to individuals with diverse needs.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with housing providers and external agencies.
- The ability to work independently, managing a caseload.
