Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Professional Regulator in their search for a permanent Investigations Manager. This is a senior operational leadership role with responsibility for overseeing complex regulatory casework, leading a specialist team, and ensuring the effective delivery of investigation and adjudication processes.

Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the London office

Salary: Β£61,136 per annum

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the operational delivery of the Fitness to Practise function.
  • Line manage a team of investigators, caseworkers and a scheduling officer, providing clear leadership and oversight.
  • Oversee investigation and adjudication processes, ensuring cases are progressed efficiently and in line with KPIs and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure high standards of quality assurance, performance management and decision-making across the team.
  • Maintain oversight of complex and sensitive casework, providing direction and assurance as required.
  • Support the scheduling and progression of hearings and adjudication activity.
  • Provide performance data, reporting and assurance to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the strategic development of the FtP function.
Candidate Profile
  • Significant experience within Fitness to Practise, regulatory investigations or comparable casework environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and complex workloads.
  • Strong understanding of investigation, adjudication and hearings processes.
  • Ability to balance operational delivery with strategic oversight and improvement.
  • Sound judgement and confidence operating in legally and politically sensitive environments.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Experience within a healthcare regulator or regulated profession (desirable).
