HR Advisor
Location: Home Based with occasional national travel
Contract Type: Permanent – 28 hours per week
Salary: £33,197 (pro rata)
The HR Advisor will work within the People Operations Team to provide effective support, guidance and advice to managers and employees on a wide variety of HR issues including employee relations, policy and process, the People HR system and the delivery of key projects.
Responsibilities HR Advisor
- Build strong relationships across the organisation.
- Advise and coach managers on HR policies.
- Provide flexible team support and cover the HR Inbox.
- Develop and implement HR policies and learning sessions.
- Offer expert guidance on employee relations issues.
- Support key People initiatives and projects.
- Promote HR initiatives via our intranet and engagement platforms
- Manage HR systems and reports for workforce planning.
- Deliver a service that reflects our values of Fairness, Learning, Openness, and Excellence
Skills and Experience
- CIPD Level 5 or above or working towards it.
- Experience of generating and analysing and providing narrative around reports
- Experience of working in the public sector or a not-for-profit organisation
- A good understanding of People policies and processes including contracts of employment, maternity, paternity, flexible working, disciplinary and grievance.
- Presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver managers training sessions & workshops.
- Ability to prioritise and organise a large volume of work with frequently changing priorities and work systematically towards deadlines.
- IT literate with experience of working with the Microsoft Office Suite along with experience of working with HR systems.
- Up to date knowledge of Employment Law and best practice in disciplinary, grievance and absence management casework
