We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients growing engineering team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across commercial, industrial, residential, education and more delivering innovative and sustainable electrical design solutions.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in leading electrical design activities from concept through to completion. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
- Lead the electrical design and specification process for a variety of projects
- Produce detailed electrical designs including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, and LV systems
- Carry out site surveys, inspections, and technical assessments
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams throughout project delivery
- Manage project workloads, deadlines, and technical quality
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in electrical building services design
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and relevant standards
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, or similar
Excellent communication and project management skills
