I'm currently recruiting for a Repairs and Maintenance Officer for a period of around 3-6 months. The role involves delivering responsive, planned, and cyclical maintenance across housing. You'll diagnose faults, instruct repairs, and manage contractors to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to required standards.
Key Duties
- Manage repairs in occupied and void properties
- Inspect works (pre and post) to ensure quality and compliance
- Instruct and oversee contractors, controlling cost and performance
- Prepare void properties to lettable standard
- Liaise with tenants, owners, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with H&S and statutory regulations
- Raise orders, approve invoices, and monitor spend
- Handle enquiries, complaints, and service improvements
About You
- Experience in housing/property maintenance
- Strong technical and compliance knowledge
- Skilled in contractor management and inspections
- Organised, customer-focused, and able to meet deadlines
