Financial Accountant will be joining the Finance team within a large and complex charity organisation until the end of November with hybrid flexibility (2 days in the office).
Role
Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting the organisation through month-end and year-end processes. Financial Accountant requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and support year-end audit activities.
- Act as the main contact for external auditors, coordinating audit requirements and deliverables.
- Prepare VAT and Corporation Tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments.
