Communication Support Worker - BSL Level 3+ | Essex
Morgan Hunt is currently looking to speak with experienced Communication Support Workers to support Deaf and hearing-impaired learners within Further Education settings across Essex.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who hold a BSL Level 3 qualification or above and have experience supporting young people within an education setting.
The ideal candidate will have:

BSL Level 3 or above
-
Experience working as a Communication Support Worker or in a similar role
-
Experience supporting Deaf and hearing-impaired learners
-
Experience working with young people, ideally within Further Education
-
The ability to support learners both in and outside of the classroom
-
A good understanding of safeguarding within education
-
A fully Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
The role may involve:

Providing BSL communication support during lessons
-
Supporting learners to access teaching and learning materials
-
Working closely with lecturers, support teams and other professionals
-
Promoting learners' independence and confidence
-
Supporting effective communication between learners, staff and their peers
