Role

  • Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems .
  • Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems – power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
  • Carry out (and managing of others), in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, dialux, Amtech, in-house developed tools, etc.
  • Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
  • Report and technical note writing.
  • Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
  • Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services consultancy or contractor environments
  • Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations and relevant standards (BS 7671, BS 5839, BS 5266, etc.)
  • Experience producing detailed electrical designs, specifications, and calculations for building services projects
  • Competence in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), Amtech, Dialux, Relux, or similar
  • Right to work in UK
  • Full UK driving license
  • 25 days holiday + stats + (3 days at Christmas)
