This is an excellent opportunity for qualified ESOL professionals looking for flexible teaching hours, whether you're available for multiple days per week or just a single session.
Available Teaching Sessions
- Tuesday (daytime)
- Tuesday evening
- Thursday
- Friday
The college is happy to consider candidates who can cover all sessions or just one of the available days.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective ESOL lessons to learners from a range of backgrounds and ability levels.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports learner progression and achievement.
- Prepare lesson materials and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learner needs.
- Monitor attendance, assess learner progress, and maintain accurate records where required.
- Support learners in developing their English language skills for further study, employment, and everyday life.
Requirements
- Previous experience teaching ESOL within Further Education, Adult Education, Community Learning, or a similar setting.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, DTESOL, CELTA, or equivalent.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A learner-focused approach and passion for supporting student success.
