We’re working with a large, complex education provider to recruit an Assistant Principal – Student Experience & Support on a permanent basis. This is a strategic role with responsibility for shaping and delivering an outstanding, inclusive and safe student experience across Further and Higher Education provision.

The Job

Reporting to the Vice Principal – Curriculum & Quality, you will lead a wide-ranging portfolio including:

  • Safeguarding and Residential Provision (acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead)
  • Student Services, Wellbeing and Mental Health
  • Inclusive Learning, SEND and High Needs Funding
  • Progress, Personal Development and Tutorial Provision
  • Careers, Employability and External Partnerships
  • Student Life and Student Voice

You will work closely with senior leaders, governors and external partners to ensure learners are supported to progress, achieve and move successfully into employment or further study.

About You

You will have:

  • Senior leadership experience within FE and/or HE
  • A strong track record of delivering an excellent student experience
  • Experience operating as a Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Sound knowledge of inclusion, SEND and learner support services
  • The credibility to operate effectively at Executive level
  • A values-led, collaborative leadership approach.
