Responsibilities
- Proficiently use the Academy (Capita) Revenues and Benefits processing System
- Administer the Billing, Collection and Recovery of Business Rates
- Maintain and update Business Rates records to allow for accurate Billing and Collection of outstanding monies
- Trace absconded Business Rates Payments
- Review and determine the most appropriate action to collect outstanding Business Rates debts
- Upskill and mentor the team in support of their technical development
- Act as a subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders and clients
- Responsible for key financial responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust financial controls
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal development and continuous service improvement
- Responsible for owning and reviewing internal processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Manage and lead complex legal cases, coordinating with solicitors and supporting the preparation of case documentation
- Ensure up-to-date awareness of all relevant legislation, policy updates, and regulatory changes, applying them effectively to operational practice
