We are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated substance misuse and recovery service based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to supporting individuals through their recovery journey and promoting long-term independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting service users from initial engagement through to recovery and exit planning
- Carrying out screenings, assessments, risk assessments, and recovery planning
- Delivering person-centred interventions focused on recovery and harm reduction
- Managing a caseload of clients with complex needs including substance misuse, mental health, housing, and social issues
- Providing advocacy and referrals to external partnership agencies and support services
- Promoting social inclusion, resilience, peer support, and independent living
- Maintaining accurate case notes and ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures
- Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for service users
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within substance misuse, recovery, homelessness, or mental health services
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and recovery-focused approaches
- Excellent communication, engagement, and case management skills
- Ability to work effectively with vulnerable adults and challenging behaviours
- Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
