Overview Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a busy public sector environment on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual with a strong maintenance management background to secure a long-term role. Applicants can come from any recognised trade background, including electrical, mechanical, or joinery disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day maintenance operations
  • Overseeing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations
  • Managing and updating computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Coordinating contractors and maintenance teams
  • Monitoring performance, repairs, and reactive maintenance works
  • Supporting continuous improvement across facilities operations

Essential Requirements

  • SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in a recognised electrical, mechanical, or joinery trade discipline
  • HNC in an Engineering subject
  • IOSH Managing Safely certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience within facilities management and maintenance operations
  • Experience managing PPM schedules and computerised maintenance repair systems
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Must be able to pass a disclosure/background check for this role
