About the Role
As a Lecturer in Business, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of business courses, supporting both full-time and part-time learners.
- Deliver high-quality teaching across business courses to a range of learners
- Act as a course tutor, monitoring student progress, attendance and achievement
- Support students through mentoring, guidance and pastoral care
- Contribute to curriculum development in line with industry and employer needs
- Participate in recruitment activities such as open days and careers events
- Maintain accurate student records and complete administrative requirements
- Support internal quality processes including verification and audits
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion across all activities
About You
You will bring strong industry experience within business or management, alongside a passion for developing others. Whether you're already teaching or looking to transition into education, you'll be an engaging communicator who can motivate and inspire students. You’ll be organised, adaptable, and confident in delivering inclusive and high-quality learning experiences.
Essential Requirements
- Degree, HNC or equivalent vocational experience in Business or a related field
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
- Strong industry experience within business management or a related area
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners to succeed
- Commitment to CPD and continuous improvement
Desirable
- Prior teaching experience in FE or HE
- Experience delivering BTEC Level 3 or similar qualifications
- Assessor/Verifier qualifications
- Course management experience
