Job Overview
Morgan Hunt is pleased to be working with a leading public sector regulator to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant (Accounts Payable), on a 6-month contract. This role will require office attendance 40% of the time. Locations include: Central London, Manchester or Cardiff.
Responsibilities
- Lead on the production of interim and full year accounts, coordinating preparation of notes and disclosures, liaising with the National Audit Office.
- Responsible for the Accounts Payable function with direct line management of 1 AP Manager and indirect management of a team of 5 AP Clerks.
- Ensure the function operates efficiently and effectively, continuing to develop and strengthen initiatives to improve payment performance and communications across the wider business.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience within Financial Accounting roles within the Public Sector.
- Previous experience managing an Accounts Payable function and managing a small team.
Role is inside IR35 and will be paid through an umbrella company.
