YMCA St Paul's Group is looking for a compassionate and proactive Housing Support Officer to join our team in Hanwell. You'll be the first point of contact for residents and play a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for people at risk of homelessness. This is a varied, hands-on role where your work will make a real difference - from day-to-day support and reception duties to promoting safety, well-being, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of residents and develop personalised support plans
  • Monitor rent accounts and take early action to prevent arrears
  • Promote tenancy compliance and respond appropriately to anti-social behaviour
  • Support residents to access training, employment, and community opportunities
  • Carry out reception duties and contribute to health & safety, including first aid and fire safety
  • Maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners

About You

  • Experience supporting vulnerable people (housing, advice, or social care settings preferred)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Empathetic, resilient, and confident when managing challenging situations
  • Flexible and able to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
