Recovery Worker - Substance Misuse - Hertfordshire
Pay: From £16.00 per hour Umbrella - pay may be increased depending on relevant direct Recovery Worker experience

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Recovery Worker to join a specialist substance misuse service in Hatfield on an initial 3-month contract.
You will support service users throughout their recovery journey, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm and promote long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support service users from assessment through treatment and recovery.
- Complete screening, assessments and risk assessments.
- Manage a caseload and develop person-centred recovery plans.
- Deliver psychosocial interventions and motivational support.
- Provide harm-reduction advice and support.
- Make appropriate referrals to partner services.
- Advocate for service users and help overcome barriers to support.
- Support social reintegration, resilience and independence.
- Work effectively with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
About You
You should have:
- Direct experience within a Recovery Worker, Drug & Alcohol or Substance Misuse role.
- Experience managing a caseload and completing assessments.
- Knowledge of recovery and harm-reduction approaches.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A person-centred, non-judgemental approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
