We are seeking an experienced Electrical Internal Quality Assurer to join an FE college in Chelmsford on a long-term temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of electrical qualifications, ensuring assessment practices meet awarding body requirements and industry standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical professional with the relevant IQA qualifications and a strong understanding of vocational assessment within further education or apprenticeships.
Job Responsibilities
Carry out internal quality assurance of electrical assessments, portfolios and learner evidence.
Ensure assessment decisions are fair, consistent and meet awarding body requirements.
Provide feedback and guidance to assessors to maintain and improve assessment standards.
Maintain accurate quality assurance records and support preparation for external quality assurance visits.
Ensure assessment and verification practices comply with relevant qualification requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
Relevant electrical qualifications and a strong background in the electrical industry.
A recognised Internal Quality Assurance qualification, such as Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or an equivalent qualification.
Experience carrying out IQA within electrical qualifications, vocational training or apprenticeships.
A good understanding of assessment processes, awarding body requirements and quality assurance procedures.
Competitive hourly rate of £50 per hour.
