Morgan Hunt are working with a consultancy to recruit a Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Scotland. You'll be working on high quality projects in the power and energy infrastructure space (substations, grid connections, renewable energy facilities). You will also be involved with works in sectors such as industrial, defence and transportation. The organisation is growing and will give you a chance to work on major energy and infrastructure projects that are shaping the UK's power network. They will also support your career development and support you to Chartership.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver civil engineering works for large-scale projects, covering drainage, earthworks, external works, and utilities.
- Produce high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and reports, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.
- Review designs for compliance and quality.
- Support the development of junior engineers alongside promoting best practice.
What they're looking for:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience delivering projects in one or more sectors (ideally in the power sector).
- Working towards Chartered or Incorporated status (ICE or IStructE).
- Strong understanding and experience in drainage design, earthworks, and external works.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD (or similar) for modelling, layouts, and draughting designs.
- Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM regulations, and BIM processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
