We are working with a highly regarded Further Education college in Cambridge that is looking to appoint a Workshop Engineering Lecturer to join their thriving Engineering department on a part‑time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking engineering professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of engineers. You will be delivering engaging, hands‑on teaching across Levels 2-5, working with a diverse cohort of full‑time students, part‑time learners, and apprentices. The role will predominantly focus on workshop‑based practical delivery, while also contributing to the wider engineering curriculum to ensure learners are fully prepared for industry.

Key duties:

  • Delivering and assessing Engineering courses across Levels 2-5
  • Teaching specialist BTEC units such as Micro controller Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)
  • Adapting teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles and abilities
  • Embedding key themes such as safeguarding, sustainability, equality & diversity, and English & Maths development
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Engineering team including Technicians, Instructors, and Curriculum Leads
  • Providing tutorial and pastoral support to learners to drive achievement and progression

Requirements:
