We are seeking an experienced and motivated Additional Learning Support Manager to lead and develop high-quality SEND provision across a Midlands-based FE college. This is a key role within Learner Services, responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, securing appropriate funding, and driving inclusive practice that enables all learners with additional needs to succeed.
As Additional Learning Support Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for SEND provision, managing a dedicated team and working collaboratively with curriculum staff, external agencies, and local authorities. You will ensure the College meets its statutory responsibilities while continuously improving outcomes, experiences, and progression for learners with SEND.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, monitor and evaluate SEND provision across the College, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
- Manage EHCP processes, annual reviews, exam access arrangements, and associated funding accurately and within statutory time frames
- Line manage and develop the ALS team, including Learning Support Coordinators, Practitioners and specialist staff
- You have significant experience as a SENCO or ALS Manager, supporting learners with EHCPs and a wide range of additional needs
- You bring strong knowledge of SEND legislation, safeguarding responsibilities, and inclusive teaching strategies
- You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet statutory deadlines under pressure
