We are recruiting for one of our Homelessness Charities in North London, currently seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to work 4 on 4 off: 21:00pm-07:00am in their Shelter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight cover, ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the shelter during waking night hours.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests, volunteers, and the building throughout the night.
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests during nighttime hours.
- Welcome and support guests arriving late, responding to their immediate needs.
- Maintain a calm, supportive, and relaxed atmosphere throughout the shift.
- Act as a communication link between night and day staff, sharing relevant concerns or updates on client casework.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of nightly events, incidents, guest interactions, maintenance issues, attendance, and food hygiene requirements using the designated database.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies. Conduct kitchen stock checks as required.
