Your new role

This is a hands on, varied role for a communications generalist. You will support both internal and external communications, helping to engage staff, residents and stakeholders through a range of channels and content types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging internal communications to keep colleagues informed and connected
  • Create and manage external communications, including press releases, newsletters, and community updates
  • Support event planning and delivery - from tenant engagement sessions to staff briefings
  • Design and produce digital content, including graphics and short videos, for web and social media
  • Maintain and update website and intranet content
  • Monitor communications performance and contribute to continuous improvement

What you will need to succeed

You will be a confident communicator with excellent writing skills and a keen eye for design. You are organised, creative, and comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a communications role (in-house or agency)
  • Strong copywriting and editing abilities
  • Experience creating visual and video content (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with managing social media channels and websites (e.g., WordPress)
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently
  • An understanding of the social housing or public sector environment is desirable but not essential

  • Hourly rate of £17-£19 per hour paid to you weekly through Morgan Hunt payroll
  • Hybrid working (1-3 days in the office)
