The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lecturer of Economics to join a dynamic Business & Technology department within a well-established Further Education college. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver A Level Economics alongside modules up to Level 5, within a supportive and forward-thinking environment that embraces digital and blended learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging teaching across A Level Economics and related programmes (Level 1-5)
  • Plan and prepare lessons aligned with awarding body standards
  • Monitor student progress, set targets, and support achievement
  • Deliver blended learning using digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and attainment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
  • Participate in open days, enrolment, and student recruitment activities

About You

  • Degree in Economics or a related subject
  • Experience teaching A Level / Level 3 Economics
  • Strong understanding of teaching, learning & assessment in FE or Sixth Form
  • Confident using digital tools and blended learning approaches
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / Level 5) or willingness to work towards
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
