Morgan Hunt are working with a consultancy based in Glasgow to recruit a Structural Revit Technician to join their team. You will be supporting the delivery of projects across sectors including commercial, residential, infrastructure, energy, and industrial developments. You will play a key role in producing coordinated 3D structural models and detailed drawings, helping to deliver efficient, buildable, and technically robust design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and coordinate detailed 3D structural models using Revit in line with project BIM standards
- Produce high-quality 2D drawings, including general arrangements, sections, and detailed construction information
- Work closely with structural engineers to translate design intent into accurate and buildable models and drawings
- Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, architectural, MEP) to ensure clash-free and integrated designs
- Participate in model reviews, clash detection, and coordination meetings
- Maintain BIM data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with standards such as ISO 19650
- Assist in developing and improving BIM standards, templates, and workflows within the team
- Manage drawing registers, revisions, and documentation in accordance with project requirements
Requirements
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience using Revit in a structural or multidisciplinary consultancy environment
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar structural modelling tools
- Knowledge of Navisworks or similar clash detection software
- Strong understanding of structural systems and construction methods (steel, concrete, timber)
- Familiarity with BIM processes and coordinated design delivery
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines
