Morgan Hunt is excited to be working with a highly regarded Further Education College in Derbyshire. We are seeking an experienced Sports Lecturer to join their teaching team.
Role: Sports Lecturer
Location: Derbyshire
Start: ASAP
Hours: 3 Days Per Week
Job Type: Temporary
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in sports.
- Design and implement curriculum and assessment activities aligned to the College's standards.
- Track and monitor learner progress; provide constructive feedback to support student success.
- Maintain and update accurate learner records, reporting on progression and achievement.
- Promote health, safety and safeguarding across practical and theoretical sessions.
- Inspire and motivate students, fostering an inclusive and high-performance learning environment.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Sport Science, Public Services or related).
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed).
- Right to Work & Enhanced Child DBS on the update service.
- Knowledge of teaching styles recommended.
- Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations applicable to sport/physical delivery.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
