Specialist Intervention Worker - Domestic Abuse Services
Location: E1 8PX
Hours: 30-35 hours per week, rota basis
Pay Rate: Β£14.56 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Are you passionate about supporting people affected by domestic abuse and experienced in working with individuals with complex needs?
We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and proactive Specialist Intervention Worker to provide trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic abuse living in refuge accommodation across London.
You will manage a caseload of individuals with multiple support needs, delivering practical and emotional support, crisis intervention, safety planning and risk management to help service users rebuild their lives and move towards independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate a caseload across multiple refuge locations.
- Complete risk assessments, safety plans and support plans.
- Deliver domestic abuse interventions, including DASH assessments and MARAC referrals.
- Support service users with housing, benefits, healthcare and therapeutic services.
- Work in partnership with mental health, substance misuse, housing and statutory agencies.
- Provide crisis support and advocate for individuals with complex needs.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met for both adults and children.
About You:
- Experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse and/or individuals with complex needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and domestic abuse legislation.
- Understanding of welfare benefits, housing options and support pathways.
- Excellent communication and case management skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with partner agencies.
- Willingness to travel across London as required.
