Plumber/Mechanical Technician for NHS in Middlesex. Pay: £22-25 per hour. Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, 8am-16:30pm Mon‑Thu and 8am-16:00pm Fri. Duration: 3‑month ongoing contract. Full clean driving licence required (vehicle provided).
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and non‑routine work activities.
- Perform new works, repairs and routine planned maintenance on mechanical, heating, hot and cold water plant, equipment and services.
- Respond to reactive work requests, minor new installation requests and weekly planned preventative maintenance dockets efficiently.
- Escort contractors during inspections and installations.
- Strictly adhere to relevant policies, procedures, Health & Safety and Security Regulations, maintain tool lists.
Qualifications
- Minimum City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, refrigeration or mechanical services.
- Specialised in mechanical service (e.g., gas, refrigeration, heat pumps).
- Water safety training.
Experience
- Experience with all types of mechanical, ventilation or gas installations and maintenance.
- Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
