Morgan Hunt currently requires a Carpenter / Building Maintenance Handyperson for NHS based in Middlesex.

Pay Rate: £18ph to £21ph Ltd.

Hours: 37.5 hrs, 8am to 4:30pm Mon to Thurs and 8am to 4:00pm Fri.

Location: Middlesex.

Duration: 12 months ongoing contract.

Role details:

  • Carry out work activities which are both routine and non‑routine.
  • Carry out new works, repairs and routine planned maintenance activities to building fabric, equipment and services.
  • Carry out reactive work requests, minor new installation requests and weekly planned preventative maintenance dockets efficiently.
  • Escort contractors carrying out inspections and installations.
  • Strictly adhere to the relevant policies and procedures, maintain tool lists and comply with Health and Safety and Security Regulations.
  • Some experience in building works e.g. plastering, painting and decorating.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • National Certificate (BTEC/ONC) or equal NVQ Level 2 with relevant post experience.
  • Recognised carpentry / joinery or approved training scheme plus relevant experience.
  • Full clean Manual Driving Licence.
  • DBS cleared.

Working days and hours: Mondays – Thursdays 8am to 4:30pm; Friday 8am – 4pm.

Ideal start date: As soon as possible.

Interview/vetting process: One Face‑to‑face Interview; this may include observing applicant while carrying out practical carpentry work.

Standard DBS required.
