We are recruiting a Senior Outreach Worker to deliver street-based outreach support to individuals experiencing homelessness across the London Borough of Redbridge.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Contract: Temporary (approximately 2 months)
Pay: £15.95 per hour + £1.93 holiday pay (£17.88 per hour total)
Role Responsibilities
- Carry out street-based assessments and follow-up casework with rough sleepers
- Plan and deliver outreach shifts using referrals and mapping data
- Support individuals to access accommodation, health services, and other support
- Work closely with partner agencies and contribute to street counts and local mapping
- Support crisis interventions for complex cases alongside management
Requirements
- Experience working with people experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping
- Experience in street outreach or community-based support
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and multi-agency working
- Ability to work independently in an outreach setting
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
This role involves travelling across Redbridge and working directly with clients in the community.
